The Menelon Family has owned the North Star Motel since 1989. This 9 room gem is centrally located in downtown Mayo, which is in the heart of the Yukon. This motel provides easy access to services in Mayo (store, library, post office, school, nursing station) and is a convenient place to stay while exploring or working in the Silver Trail area including Keno City.
There is great hiking around Mount Haldene, Five Mile Lake, or the Prince of Wales Trail. The Silver Trail is renowned for hidden fishing and berry picking locations, the quiet lakes, or the fast flowing rivers, can make an anglers dreams come true.
The North Star Motel offers clean and quiet accommodations with kitchenettes. Parking (with plug in’s) is available free of charge. Wifi Internet is available throughout the motel and a laundromat is conveniently located across the street. Both English and French are spoken and major credit cards are accepted.
